Cartier Replica Watches 1

I have to say that the Cartier replica watches have become one of the hottest accessories in the modern world. They are favorites for lovers of fashion, and can actually accentuate your beauty and elegant style at low prices. However, these imitations with famous brands does not mean false.

Designer Replica Cartier watches are crafted with materials that are also used for making original watches. In addition, the inner parts are also similar to those of designer brands. Therefore, Cartier Replica Watches also come with high quality.

Since then, many people may ask "why are so cheap, if you are so good?" The answer is easy to understand. Every issue is attributed to brand. Much money is used for advertising and other promotions of designer watches such as Cartier, Rolex, TAG, Omega and other popular brands. Watch manufacturers often find the most famous celebrities to endorse their goods. These entire have a lot of money still is not included in the cost of production. While for the replica watches, the money used for the promotion is cut down. The main cost relates only to the outlet. Thus, the manufacturers sold at relatively cheaper.

Another reason for the popularity of Cartier Replica Watches are based on people for multiple options. Not satisfied with one imitation to enhance the beauty. They want to collect as many replicas of the everyday dress. However, it is impossible for everyone to buy several real designer watches at the same time. Therefore, to buy replica designer instead. What you pay is a fraction of the money, but can enjoy equally.

Green Spotlight on the Snow Bunting, the heartiest land bird in the world

October 11th, 2010    by Ann

46When winter comes, many migratory birds head south to neotropical regions. But to some birds, the warmth of Canada and Northern US States like Wisconsin and Maine top the list of winter destinations. Snow buntings also summer in Northern climates across the globe. The Snow Bunting isn't spotted frequently in many of the Northern States, but they are endemic and arrive about the same time as the more commonly sighted Juncos.

In mid to late September, Snow Buntings leave their Arctic breeding grounds and fly to southern Canada and the northern United States. They breed further north than any other land bird. Their appearance as soft white and black or caramel (juvenile) fluff belies their tough nature.

During the winter, Snow Buntings hunker down in a variety of open lands in the northern Great Lakes region, including farmland, beaches, coastal fields and roadsides. They birds are ground feeders and eat on seeds, leaf buds and insects.

Snow buntings survive the cold by burrowing into snow during frigid weather. Invite them to your yard with Oat, groats, cracked corn, white millet, and by keeping a native garden that will harbor seeds and insects that the bunting has no trouble finding by burrowing into the snow. They enjoy the native grass and perennial gardens all winter long.

The buntings will head north in March or April as we turn southward to welcome the return of our summer visitors.

Pope, Sarkozy meet after France's Gypsy crackdown

October 9th, 2010    by Ann

51VATICAN CITY (AP) — French President Nicolas Sarkozy met Friday with the pope and top Vatican officials in a fence-mending visit following France's controversial crackdown on Gypsies, while a top Vatican cardinal urged France to welcome immigrants and those who have been persecuted.

Sarkozy's government has linked Gypsies, or Roma, to crime, dismantled hundreds of their shantytowns and expelled more than 1,000 Roma in recent months, sending them home to Romania and Bulgaria.

The crackdown has been criticized by many Roman Catholics, and Pope Benedict XVI himself appeared to weigh in on it with a subtle message about tolerance over the summer.

Speaking in French to pilgrims gathered at his summer residence Aug. 22, Benedict urged people to accept "legitimate human diversity" and asked parents to "educate your children about universal brotherhood," a statement that was widely interpreted as being directed at France.

On Friday, French Cardinal Jean-Louis Tauran, who heads the Vatican's office for interreligious dialogue, added his voice to the chorus. He referred to the issue during a private prayer service he celebrated in Sarkozy's honor in a chapel inside St. Peter's Basilica.

As Sarkozy and his delegation listened, Tauran asked for prayers for France and its leaders, for the "absolute respect for life," for peace, justice "and that immigrants and those who are persecuted are welcomed."

Sarkozy has defended the expulsions, saying they are part of an overall crackdown on illegal immigrants and crime. Most of the Roma in France are from Romania and Bulgaria, and as EU citizens, they have a right to travel to France, but must get permission to work or live there in the long term. The government also says most of the Roma are leaving voluntarily, with a small stipend from France.

In an opinion piece in the International Herald Tribune newspaper Friday, Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner defended the government's position, saying, "like any other government, it is the duty of the French authorities to enforce the law. It is as simple as that."

The Vatican made no explicit mention of the matter in its communique issued after Sarkozy's meetings, saying only that there was a shared desire to continue to collaborate "on questions of common interest."

Sarkozy arrived for his audience with the pope about 15 minutes late, looking tense. But by the end of the half-hour visit, he appeared relaxed as he presented the pope with a collection of books and received in exchange a ceramic model and print of St. Peter's Basilica.

Sarkozy then asked the pope for an extra rosary — the gift Benedict usually gives delegation members traveling with visiting heads of state. Benedict's personal secretary Monsignor Georg Ganswein fetched one from a drawer and gave it to Sarkozy.

After the audience, Sarkozy was to have lunch with the Vatican No. 2, Cardinal Tarcisio Bertone.

Le Parisien newspaper said Sarkozy's visit to the Vatican was seen as a chance to repair his image with France's Catholics, many of whom have been disturbed above all by his "'bling-bling' image, his relationship to money, and quite simply his way of being."

The Rev. Philippe Verdin, a Dominican priest who published a book of interviews with Sarkozy in 2004, said Sarkozy was engaged in a "great spiritual quest."

"He is very intuitive and understands how important prayer is: He's a man who prays," Le Parisien newspaper quoted Verdin as saying. "He is very concerned about giving grace to God. I am sure he thanked God for allowing him to meet Carla Bruni."

Bruni, Sarkozy's wife, did not attend the papal audience Friday.

Some observers complained that Sarkozy showed a lack of gravitas during his 2007 visit to the Vatican. News reports at the time said he was seen sneaking a peek at a text message on his cellphone while he presented his delegation to the pope.

Bizarrely, Sarkozy's delegation that year also included standup comic Jean-Marie Bigard, whose humor is often described as crude.

Associated Press reporter Angela Doland contributed from Paris.

Lessons in a Large Family

October 5th, 2010    by Ann

I’M one of 10 children in my family. My mother, a nurse, was always busy around the house or taking care of a new baby. As the second-oldest child and the oldest girl, I became a surrogate parent to many of my siblings. 21
I’d iron on Saturday mornings, baby-sit and grocery-shop. It just happens in large families. It taught me to be a good manager and to have patience.

I thought I’d be a policewoman, so I studied criminal justice and philosophy at Salve Regina University in Newport, R.I. I graduated in 1981. I didn’t mesh with one of my professors, who told me that I’d never amount to anything. That motivated me to succeed.

Then I decided that I’d be a lawyer, so I completed a paralegal program in Philadelphia to get my feet wet. Then, instead of going to law school, I got a job in New York at a company that manufactured copiers and other items. Six weeks later, the company filed for bankruptcy.

I led the internal bankruptcy administration process and worked with a consultant the company hired. In 1985, I joined her bankruptcy administration company. She trusted me to do a large part of the work while she traveled. Four years later, at the age of 29, I left and started my own company. I held three part-time jobs while trying to line up clients. At one point, I rolled coins and hocked my jewelry so I could eat.

I arranged to give a presentation to a company in the steel industry in western Pennsylvania. Flying was out of the question; I barely had money for gasoline to drive there. I tossed my files and my I.B.M. PC into the back of my Honda and drove all night. That company became my first client.

Logan & Company deals mostly with Chapter 11 reorganizations. Companies usually call us when they’ve missed a debt payment and want to negotiate with their banks and creditors. We serve as a repository for their data; keep track of their customers, employees, bondholders and creditors; and mail them the appropriate documents.

I’m dyslexic, and I wasn’t reading by fourth grade. A nun at my parochial school worked with me and taught me to decode words. I’ve had to find ways to compensate as an adult, like developing my memory, which have served me well in this business.

The bankruptcy process has some strict deadlines. In 1995, we sent a 2,000-page document to a California lawyer to file with the court on our client’s behalf. The document should have reached California by a certain Friday, but didn’t. If the document was filed late, our client could be heavily fined. We needed another plan.

I divided the document into stacks of 25 pages and started walking down the street. I knocked on the door of any business that I thought would have a fax machine and asked if I could use it. I distributed the document piecemeal along the streets of Hoboken, N.J., until the whole thing had been sent to the counsel in California. In those years, most fax machines didn’t work at a high speed, so it took all day, but the document arrived at court on time.

Another of my clients was a 100-year-old Southern manufacturing company that went bankrupt. Several generations of families had worked there. Because of competition overseas, the company couldn’t recover and had to move from Chapter 11, which allows reorganization, to Chapter 7. It liquidated assets and closed its doors.

Many lives had been wrapped up in this organization, and the community was like a ghost town after the closing. Cases like that make me want to do all I can to help people spring back.
